I use these for bluegill. I experiment with different types of tails and eyes. My inspiration came with a fly I saw last year on the net that simply named Cardinal Sin. Tied in red flashy chenille and a rainbow flash tail. I loved it so much that I started experimenting with different eyes, tails, chenille and its one of my favorites. I have a box full of them.

Out here...
Clousers are proven fish catchers... Great selection.

Tye up a couple in rust or brown and work it along a rocky bank about dark during the crappie spawn and you will be cleaning fish!

Well done !!! Do like the variations of color patterns .
Those would look good also with the Multi-Hued Beed chain eyes .

Real nice work. I like to use the lead eyes flies a little more than the bead eyes but the bead eyes gives a fly an awesome look. Thanks for posting your work.

Sure. Here's what I do. The hook is a mustad 3366 size 6. The bean chain is large. I do them in all colors. When I do barbell I use are extra small. The chenille is whatever I have. For the tails, I use everything from hair extensions to rainbow flash. Let your imagination flow. I hope that helps. If a particular one catches your eye, let me know and I'll try to tell you exactly what I used. I tie my eyes on first, then tail and then chenille. Finish fly by winding thread to make the beak. If you need any help, I can try to take a pic. I'm not real good at explaining, but I'll do my best.

Thanks for all the compliments. This is something I love doing and try to get a little better each day.
I'm no where as good as some I've seen here, but I'm trying

I do tie a bunch of those very similar to how you show them. That 2nd one down would be a carp killer in my local river. Sight fishing and hooking into double digit carp with a fly rod is pure white trash sewer bass sport fishing at its best in my opinion!

They work great for crappie and gills in some lakes as well. Crappie Candy is another fly pattern that is close to yours and produces well.

An Internet friend sent me some pictures of stuff he caught with them. The next time we go out, I'll try to snap a few pictures too.
