Nice tie.

Just out of curiosity, what are you planning on using it for? Flesh flies work really well for steelhead and trout out here because they mimic rotting flesh that falls off salmon carcasses. Don't think there are many dead salmon in MO!

lol yeah no salmon in missouri. I'll be using it for trout at one of the state parks. In years past, after the first couple hours of fishing in the morning people begin to clean their morning catch. a lot of people throw the gut scraps in the stream. The fish really start hitting on anything white or red.

There´s something about salmon flesh colour that has its own way with the fish - and the fishermen. A few years ago, this danish saltwater seatrout shrimp fly became so popular around the baltic coast that salmon spey feather skins peaked at a ridiculos 400$ a piece. Its called "Pattegrisen", the pink pig. Not too much rotten salmon flesh around here, either.

Bucho that is a awesome shrimp fly. Good feathers for fly tying are just getting affordable since the hair rage has died down.
