Some of my float-n-fly patterns. 1/16 oz. #2 mustads craft hair, & duck feathers. This is what we use in the winter to fish for smallmouths, but lm,spots, & trout will eat them too.

So...precise color match doesn't matter much - they all work?

Don't see many small wide gap hooks in jigs - why do you like them?

Yes they all work. I've not fished using all of them some of these are patterns that some of the guys I tie for wanted. For some reason sm seem to love chartruse & pink. Crappie also. The first one on the left on the top row is the best producer for me. My biggest sm this winter came on it back in Feb. It was 20 in long. I've caught just about everying on that pattern from bluegills to white bass. The wide gap hooks are used for crappie jigs most of the time. Don't seem to loose as many of the bigger ones on it. I think I have a little better hook up percentage on it too.
