Got these 1/4 ounce heads in the material swap. There were a few days last year in early spring when the crappies weren't in but the smallmouth would attack a small jig under a bobber reeled in as slowly as possible. Hopefully these will fool a bass or two when the weather starts to warm up.
Why? I suspect that the rabbit poofs out and spreads when jigged. Almost like a pulse. Wider profile. Your idea of tying pairs of silicone legs over the fur at the collar is an interesting one that I've not seen often. I like that. The strands will move freely to entice a bass.
