Thanks guys. It's an 1/8 oz jig (I swim this for smallies) the body is steve ferrars flash blend tied in about 30 fibers and then folded back over top itself. Repeat that until you get to the head and then pull out and trim loose fibers. Once everything is done get the sharpies and start addin details. You can use whatever eyes suit I always like to go bigger on this style pattern though

You can find some similar videos on YouTube for baitfish style flies to get the body just right

The gill accent is a nice touch. The Flash Blend is a curious material, seems a bit stiff but got some nice trout with it.

It is stiff, that's why you trim it to shape and pull out loose fibers. It holds its shape it the water pretty well and makes a good swim jig. If you jig it with a good darting action it works wonders. I've even used the tail end of a fluke as a trailer

I use 2 methods for the eyes. Most of the time I use a gel super glue cause it's quick easy and holds real good. When I want the jig to be bomb proof I'll use devcon 2 ton epoxy and just epoxy around the eyes and thread and you'll lose it before it wears out
