Materials:
  • UNI Thread 8/0 - red
  • Rosey's/Harbor Freight Powder Paint Mixture - safety blue 90% gloss and yellow
  • Acrylic paint for eyes - black and white
  • Krystal Flash - black/pearl
  • Hancock Fabric's Deluxe Craft Fur (bolt) - sage green
  • Targus Foxxfur - flo. chartreuse
  • Ball head jigs (1/16 ounce) with #4 black nickel sickle hooks
  • Ball head jigs (1/20-1/24 ounce) with #4 bronze Aberdeen hooks
  • Devcon 2 Ton Epoxy for topcoat

nice job pup! I ordered some long pile darice craft fur, I guess you call it, and I like it alot better than the punisher brand stuff, although can't get the chart. the gray is wonderful. the fiber count per inch is much higher with the darice which makes it fuller without having to sheer half my stock of craft fur to get one jig worth. lol

So, bass cannibalize their young?

This past trip I witnessed a 5" rainbow trout I threw back get instantly gobbled by another trout. Moved too fast for me to tell what species, but I'm GUESSING it was a brown.

Yes. Largemouth bass are notorious cannibals, particularly in environments with limited food supply. The behavior is well documented. I've actually dealt with results of their cannibalism in a warmwater hatchery situation.
