Where are y'all ordering your dubbing from? I'd like to play with it a little. I ordered some red squirrel and gray squirrel dubbing the other day along with some squirrel tails from Coffins Creek Furs. Oh yea, the jig looks awesome.

I've gotten package deals from people selling things and alot of furs used for jig tying have underfur, when you cut the hair off comb out the ends where you cut that's the underfur and it does make great dubbing (especially rabbit).

I have fox, muskrat, beaver, mule deer, elk squirrel adn some of the best is mole. SLF, Ligas, Wapsi and many other brands of dubbing are sold and they all work. And with just a few of them you can blend some and make many other colors!!!

I save all the under hair when tying with furs also. Have a lot of different dubbing in baggies. I have ordered dubbing from about all the catalog companies when making orders with them. Ordered the 30 color SLF master box from Barlows and it has about any color you can think of. Have bags of wool from the craft stores and use it in some of my mixed colors, works nice in the grinder. When I'm tying flies I get lost in em and time seems to pass quickly. I love tying jigs but tying flies is a different world and the sky there is always blue :)

Stump just remember to write down how much of each you use when you get a really great mix!!! It's as bad as coming up with a powder mix and not writing the mix down LOL.
