Dad and I took a little fishing trip this afternoon.... found me a new gill spot! Couple Christmas trees played over in 3-4 fow , next to a nice weed line, about 30 feet from deeper water..... in the shade in the afternoon. First cast after I found the weed line:
Put three fat ones in the bucket and decided to go to a bigger reservoir and try for some crappie. They are spawning now, so all over the dam. Put a duck jig 6 ft under a slip bobber on one rod, cast it out and let it sit. Tied on my favorite color combo roadrunner in 1/8-oz on another and cast it out. First cast WHAM 12" crappie!

Ended up with three gills and two solid crappie. Dad also caught a white bass and small wiper, but we gave them a free pass today. Brought home enough for dinner!
I need to order some of that reptile rubber before I run out. That stuff is deadly!
