Nice.

I'll stick with my $5.95 and probably 15 years old

plateboater - Looks good to me. I had to go to 2 different craft stores before i found the flat/wide wicks that fit my lamp. Tried some that were not as wide as the original ones and they did not put off as much heat.

Radtexan - I started out using candles and then switched to a different oil lamp like you show... bet i melted 6-8 heads right off the hooks. Could never seem to get the right distance from the flame. Having the glass globe gives me the same distance each time and creates a funnel for the heat, and i have not melted one off using it. When i have the flame adjusted how i want, it usually takes a 6-count for heads under 1/4th. I also use it for adding solder to mini spoons/blades and that does take additional time to get them up to a temp to melt the solder.

Roger where do ya get the replacement wicks? I went thru mine pretty quick! Seems like it came with extras but think they grew legs.

RnD.....the mason jar style is cheaper and pending size of jar can hold a lot of fuel. For under $10 going to purchase a few more just to have when power goes. Good price. Good heat for tapping now time for some tapping soon.
