One of the few things I haven't done with the Herring mold so made some this morning. Expensive and time consuming to tie but can't wait to get one wet and see how they look in the water. Used a Gami B10S #2 for the stingers on them. First ones are 1/8 oz with 2/0 owner and are about 4.5 inches long. Others are 1/4 with 3/0 Barbarians, total length right at 6 inches. Arctic fox, krinkle mirror flash and #10 winter ice and Hot Shiner were the chenilles used on the 1/8 with a 2.5 willow blade. Bigger ones were combinations of rabbit, cape hackle, large palmer chenille and krinkle mirror flash. I see why they call the rear hooks stinger hooks. They stung me a few times just tying them.    View attachment 7View attachment 8View attachment 1View attachment 9

Cost to make these are$1.50- $2.00 each so I might shed a tear when I lose one, just hope to catch something decent with each one. Supposed to be in the 40's tomorrow so might check out a river or two. Just need to get out and look around.
