I played with one at BPS a while back and not a bad vise. Needs some TLC in the form of lubrication but otherwise a decent vise.

Overall, I prefer a mre robust design and am not sure how well its gonna perform after the first thousand jigs

I would rate it as a starter vise, advantage that it's a rotary vise. Might find it cheaper on e bay. I've never tried one but there was never a need to. Been using my Renzetti for 19 years and only had to replace a screw in that time. Have a spare vise that's the same thing only it has a cam jaw. I'd start with a lower price rotary model and if you get addicted to tying than get a better vise later. It's always nice to try it before you buy it, hope there's a place close by where you can do this.

Good starter vice, but after a few 100 ties you'll wish you spent a couple more bucks.
I have an Anvil Apex & love it.
It's my second 'real' vice. Made two other vices that worked before coughing $30 for a 'real' one. Then I got the Anvil. Wish I would have spent the extra $$'s sooner.

That was my first rotary too, & I too upgraded to an Anvil Apex which I still use. Someday I'll upgrade again.

The Terra is a bit tedious to adjust for different size hooks playing with 2 knob screws, and the jaw tensioner is a rubber O-ring. The hook securing mechanism is a knob screw, rather than a lever.

In retrospect, might be more time efficient and economical to pay the price & go straight to a lifetime vice.
