Been thinking of getting the pro model mold in 1/32 size. It says it has a thinner sprue and 7 cavities. I currently use one that does 4 1/32 & 4 1/16. Having 7 cavities would certainly help in production efficiency but he real selling point would be easier and faster sprue removal. Does anyone have one of these and have a review of it?

I've got all the Pro-101 and 102 sizes. I clean up my sprue breaks, but if you plan to produce twist offs commercially the Pros have a neater scar.

I can't pour the 1/32 Pro-101 with tilt ladle lead. With a proper bottom pour you might need quality soft lead, unless you have Fatman's wheel weight juju.

So Cal I.E.
I use them a lot and like them.

One thing on the 1/32nd, a point that Hj bought up a while back, is the 101 1/32nd is more like a 1/48th.

Don't know how that translates to the other 101 molds.

Apparently production mold making is not rocket science, so Do-it molds in particular can sometimes be substantially more or less actual weight than stated. No longer matters to me, I just call em as labeled on the mold.

I agree with HAWN . Call them like the mold says . In my part of the country I used a part no on the jig card and didn't say weight one way of another . The merchant and myself knew the weight by that no. The reason I did that was one customer would call a 1/32 a 64th and a 64th a 100th . Then it would be vise versa on the next guy . Like the tie Led crappie brim buster especially now this time of year till fall .
