Hey guys, im a little iffy about the lead pouring thing cause the effects it could have if say you forget to wash hands or breathe it or somthin like that. So, i was just wondering if anyone on here sold jigheads. I have been ordering from ebay but i feel like the selection is limited to mostly ball head jigs and i was wondering if anyone on here that has custom molds would be interested in maybe pouring and selling some in the future

Just about everybody pours on here . I'm old enough the lead won't have time to kill me . Besides it is the kids you have to worry about . Far more dangerous for them . I'm sure somebody will anti up in a bit .

The Toad is right just about everyone pours. Some of us have a great number of molds. We need to pour so that we won't have to wait on the mail or find the person that has the the head that we need that will make them how we want them. I am so old that I don't think that I will have to worry about lead poisoning me. At my age it should have killed me already. They keep telling me that this will kill me or that will. Funny part is I keep hauling those same people who warned me to the grave.

I just tie for myself most of the time so i can usually order about 100 1/32 oz heads and 100 1/64 oz heads and the usually last me for a few months so thats why i havn't really poured any.

Anyway, i mainly fish for panfish, mostly gills, so i use heads that range from 1/80 oz to 1/32 oz and sometimes 1/16 oz but never go over a size 6 hook. I have always tied on ball head jigs and i was wanting somthin different to tie on maybe some of them football heads that LH uses sometimes or some type of minnow head, just somthin to give me more variety than tying on ball heads all the time

That's understandable Guess most of us will tie a few more than that. I have already started on the jigs for fall and will pour about 300 more to get ready and have them tied by the first of October. Have to pour up a couple of hundred for a buddy of mine that ties and then go from there. Don't mind pouring it the painting that I have the greatest problem with. Seems like it is very time consuming.

Yeah the painting is the most time consuming but i take the quick and easy way and use nail polish to paint my jigs with and coat them with an epoxy

Nightprowler, grousefly are two that come to mind right off the bat. For the tiny footballs you'll have to work out a trade with Led if he has time with all the fishin he's doing.

Jigmaker0421 - I don't compete with vendors that sell the common type jig heads. I do some trading for my custom poured jigs.
Right now I'm looking for old American coins, ultra light crankbaits, and #Matzuo BLN sickle hooks. PM me if you are interested.

I have a couple small custom chub molds in 1/64 and 1/80. Usually pour them down to a #12 sickle. They have recessed eyes and take 2.5- 3mm 3-d eyes. Got some of those as well. Have a 1/32 pillhead that's killer with a #6 or #8 sickle. I wish I had some #10 sickles right now.

No problem. I just mentioned it because you are looking for something different and I have a handful of custom molds. I just mentioned a couple of them but have more.
