View attachment 7View attachment 8It's been a long time since I posted one of my nutty Ideas . Used to do it regular on TU . This one is called Thunder Dome Powder Painting. It is made like a regular fluid bed using a coffee filter for the screen . The dome is off a hot chocolate mixing cup and the stopper where you put the jig is just a sink stopper . The air force is an air mattress foot pump . This is just the proto type and not the finished one . There are internal parts in the base as well . It takes about 2 heaping table spoons of powder in the cup . Heat your jig put it under the stopper stomp the foot pump and a nice cloud of powder poofs up and onto your jig . Sort of a cross between spraying and dipping . Did this just for Grins and Giggles . I think you can appreciate the concept .

Thanks Fellows , This one wasn't a knarly hot dog and beer night .But it took a lot of junk store shopping to find one piece at a time . Kinda like building a johnny cash car . A friend of mine saw me do the first jig . He said and I quote : I don't ****ing believe it . How in the **** did you come up with that . The thing is I couldn't answer . It just started to form in my mind after fighting those dang volcano's in the fluid bed . I decided not to fight them just use it . Like Macintosh its not a problem its a feature.

Well I didn't get a head ache . However when I hooked this to a compressor and an air release foot valve I forgot to set the air pressure . You would not believe that a couple table spoons of powder under 80 psi could cover a room and turn a fellow albino . Had white buggers in my nose for an hour after that .
