Received another big batch of feathers.

Right now they're soaking in Dawn and borax, I shake them up every 15 minutes or so and then I'll rinse and dry them.

Last one I cleaned were really dirty. So rather than keep shaking, I stuck an airstone from my aquarium in the tank and let it slowly bubble. Knowing it would foam a bit, I set it in LR sink. An hour later the feathers were suspended in a layer of foam and easily transferred to a separate tub for rinsing, Lots of sand and mud in bottom of my wash tank. Personally, I would have rinsed the ducks before bringing them home but my friend did not

Long story short, a squirt of dawn in a quart of water may be too much. But they sure are clean and pretty now that they are dry.
