That is indeed a color combo that no Crappie box should go without! When you factor in the red of the hook you have two of my Go-To combos....Blk/Char and Red/Char. Is that head just black with clear& glitter? What color is that flash? looks like pink on my screen but...

Black and chartreuse go together like peanutbutter and jelly!!!! It is also one of my favorite color combinations with black and red being the other. NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tyed the red barred fl hackle? Want to try the hackle and feathers , any suggestions of material? I picked up a chennelle copy of Texas Toast at BPS and all
The color washed out in 10 minutes, I trust that this is not normal.

I've never had a problem with my Texas Toast fading out. In fact I have a jig in the tray by my TM pedal that I've fished with 3 times & has set in the bow of the boat for 2-3 months & its still for the most part like I tied it. Get your Texas Toast chenille from CA! I have the barred red hackle I got from CA but not Florescent. I also have several chinchilla hackles, a natural barred, a blue barred, an Orange barred & the new flow. green barred I just got. I like'um
