Ammo Hoarding

This AM I went to get some primers to reload my rifle shells.

Went to all the normal places and everyone is out of stock. So was looking around seeing if anything I needed was in stock. Got 2 boxes of .22 no 12 or 20 gauge shells in stock. A few boxes of slugs. No large pistol primers and limited powder available. Finally found 2 boxes of primers at a little local gun shop. $9/100

What is going on???????? I have heard all sorts of stories but cannot believe companies like federal, cci, winchester, remington, dupont and nosler have all quit producing. Ammo has been scarce for quite a while but reloading components were available and now even reloading components are scarce.

Is everyone stockpiling or what?

If I were you I'd stock pile . Things are looking mighty ugly . The answer is yes on both counts .

Last year at this time shelves were empty out here...Most cal's have gotten much better, readily available and still fairly inexpensive.. ....You have to be in line when the stores open if you want any .22lr..

same here, 22's basically non-existent.. I have a buddy that has had a hard time getting reloading stuff, its a shame, i need some bullets loaded...

I have looked for the past year or so for 30-30 hollow points for the pigs around here and have yet to see them back on the shelves. Haven't had to reload any shotgun shells in a few years and need to restock on those before September. Guess I better start looking for those supplies now.

You can't find any ammo in my area of SC either. That's been going on well over a year.

Theres a couple guys around here that know what days stores are getting there ammo in. Like Roger said they are sitting there before the store opens. Im guessing they are reselling it.
