I admit I'm addicted to tying and swapping. To feed my addiction I have joined several sites where swaps are active. Currently I am hosting a swap on TFF a group out of Texas kinda funny for someone from the Buckeye state but I've learned so much from swaps and studying jigs from all over that I feel its worthwhile.

Over the last several months I have accumulated a shoebox full of jigs in all sizes and flavors. Some interesting heads and some very unique ties and designs. Although many of the jigs may never get used some are just to pretty to loose, its amazing to see different approaches.

If you are addicted like I am, feel free to PM me and I'll share the other sites. Some do a couple swaps a year, some are more often and theres a couple that only do one a year (boring) but its all fun and who knows, you may find that elusive magic never want to be without jig.....

Tell ya what I miss most is the tie ins we used to do on these cold long nights. Now that helped pass the time. :ICON14:

I like the tie-in idea but timing is always wrong for me, maybe someday. I used to do a lot of live chats on different sites and it got to be such a PITA trying to get a time where everyone could be available that I finally quit doing them.

Although I really like the swaps, and on occasion see a technique that I try to learn or incorporate, it's time that keeps me from participating in every swap.

Between work, the wife's honey-do's, rod building, beer brewing, cooking and fishing, I need more hours in the day.

I try - really like them - my memory is deteriorating. Back in "03" (that sure sounds odd), jig swaps were unheard of. Now it's not to difficult to find one. Never ran into one that had a problem other than minor glitches.
Too much fun!
