The flies are looking good.

Hate to see the fly rod is broke, you may be able to find some Ferrules and fix it. If there is a rod shop close to you they may be able to fix it or build you a new tip.

There's a strong possibility I have some ferrules. I purchased a small box of them a couple years ago on ebay and have never even opened them up to look at them. I'd share a couple if your interested.

thanks for the good words, and yes it does suck. i emailed pflueger asking about replacing the tip. have not had a response back yet. I will have to get by with a cheapo fly rod, as my family reunion is next week.

A simple repair is tu find a proper sized carbon rod that fits inside the break. use about a 4" piece and epoxey it in, then a neat wrap over the outside with a brush over epoxy rod finish or devcon 2 ton. Alternately, you can buy tubes and same thing, figure the size that will fit over the break, glue it and thread wrap the ends and seal with epoxy.

Here is a source for the tubes or rods https://goodwinds.com/carbon/solid-round.html
