Crappiehappy - that is about as bad as me when it comes to smoking on the grill and showing it off. Nice yardbird and brisket! Every year we throw a small red, white and blue party with a smoked roast or brisket, hotdogs, and hamburgers, my own spice rub and BBQ suace and then I add (mind you all homemade) potatoe salad, coleslaw, baked beans, corn-on-the-cob, yeastrolls and blackberry cobbler and don't for get to throw in the watermelon (sauced or not) Sorry guys don't mean for you drool :D

Sounds like this may be a 'SMOKIN' 4th of july by all the posts. I smoked some chicken breast for me and the wife yesterday (kids at the grandparents for a few days) to go along with homemade creamy pepper noodles the mrs's made and some store bought garlic bread. I was a happy - sore bellied - camper!!!

With the smoker fired up, i decied to smoke up what catfish i had on hand as well! 24 pieces total but i only got 6 out of the bunch - gave away the rest to some friends that have been begging me for it. Guess i have to go fishing and catch some more. Darn it!!!!

Russ,I see you used a Brinkman Smoker with the chicken. I love those smokers, actually gave away the Weber because I like these so much. It's almost impossible to burn meat with them. Did you use it to smoke the fish, too? I got a new one for Father's day, still sitting in the box because I won't bury the old one just yet. It's probably going to disappear one day.

Yeah, the brinkman was used for both. I got mine on (2009) christmas and have been using it like crazy! For fish, chicken breast, ribs, pulled pork - you name it i have smoked it. :) My wife is not a huge fan of beef, so moslty chicken and pork. lol The fish is for myself, my daughter and my friends!
