Wallee Market has 50% off Christmas decor.  Their garlands are mighty fine this year and several different colors.  These I purchased today are about 2 inches long and about 1/16 of an inch wide per strand on 15 ft roll for $2.89.    Such a deal if you tie lots of jigs.

Nice grab! Would take one very large jig if you used whole garland to wrap it with.      Just bagging up all the garbage and noticed a couple of those PVC bags that companies ship clothing in were a nice color of purple, pink and silver. Might try some of that for body material on some shrimp, crawdad ties. This hobby's got me looking at stuff differently which is bad cuz I'm kinda a hoarder anyway.

Thought about this thread on the way back from fishin' and swung by The Lobby to see what they had.  No bad, that ridiculous Flashabou tassel thing is normally like $10.00, but with 60% off X-mas crap it was only $3.60!  Quite a bit of material there, I might have to pick-up a few more if there's any left tomorrow.

Yeah, I always have to find some type of yarn when I go, this stuff makes a killer belly for craft fur winged craw patterns.  Near perfect, ghostly grey underbelly stuff to dye for...but they already got the color right for me   (sorry)

Had a Dr appt in Moses today so after seeing all the bargains here I stopped by JoAnns and Wally. JoAnn's stuff was pretty picked through so I got some Tulip paint (25% off) and picked up some garland @ Wally for about 2+ bucks. Wasn't much left that was usable but did have a few colors.

Best git while the gittin’s good, gents.  Swung by Hobby Lobby again today and the X-mas stuff is down to 80% off now.  Bought 4 more Gold Flashabou tassels ($2.00/ea) and two new kind @ $1.60/ea.  See below…

This stuff looks great for tailing and appendages on medium to large bass jigs, nice flexibility in water and the strand twists hold well.  Tips melt clean & quick if desired, they come in a “dually”  form with two tassels on each rope. 

I like gold flashabou, but the tassels come in silver and red as well and absolutely no one is buying these gaudy creations even at discount.  About 8” straight working length on them, look for ‘em at the end of aisles where they usually hang the weird stuff.
