Hi Everyone! well, it's been 1 week since I received my first two Do-It molds and I've already poured 500 shakey heads and short shank live baits. Second order will be placed this afternoon as I need more hooks and a few more powder paint colours. Happy I found this site yesterday, I read quite a few tips by members that I was lookin to learn. Will also require a vice asap for some bucktails. Pretty exciited...

Thanks all. I tried to post a couple photos from my first batch yesterday but it said I needed to put up smaller photos... Far from lookin decent yet, but I'll fix that soon.

first customers that came to camp after pourin used my short shank live baits and were smashin walleye all day. Check out the 31" walleye one of them landed usin one with yellow chartreuse/orane combo!!!

Lots of work to do!

nice eye. gonna try to get up to lake of the woods next year hopefully. been meaning to get up there the last couple.years but havent had the chance yet. short shanked live bait.jigs are the only way.to fish walleyes. I lost my fair share in the rocks lastnight. caught a dozen or so smaller ones, no big ones. the sturgeon were everywhere lastnight. caught 9 of them. biggest one was only a little over 5 feet. fun to catch though. lots of 3 - 4 1/2 footers. had 3 break offs on 65 lb test, I seen one jump that broke, prolly a good 6 footer.... ugh... september is gonna be awesome for them this year. do u guys have sturgeon up by you?

Hey Bucko, fishin up here is awesome. We do have stureon, however they are on the banned species list. People were poachin them up here for years to sell the caviar. However the USA side of Lake of the Woods has lots and you can fish for them there. The larest stureon to be accidentally cauht up on this side a few years back was 250 lbs. As I am sure you have noticed one of my letters on my keyboard is not workin.... Trophy fish in these waters are Muskie, Walleye, Northern Pike, Lake Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Perch, Crappie and Burbot althouh there are 19 species of sport fish in the lake, most out of any lake in NA. Over 14,000 islands on the lake with depths down to 250'. The structure is crazy! An awesome day walleye fishin would be anythin over 50 fish per person.
