I have been tying big bucktails for a few weeks now and needed a little change for an upcoming fishing trip out with the boys. When I am tying and using the long bucktails for saltwater jigs I end up with the shorter hairs for the fresh water guys.I think that this jig will be good for a big channel cat where all the guys love to go bass fishing.I have'nt been out for a while so figured on taking a small box of jigs made by me only.Attica,I still have that little tin that you sent me last year.Had to refill it a little, lol. While the other guys are loading all of there stuff to catch a fish,I'll be sitting there with my rod in the boat and a tin of jigs in my pocket waiting for them.

Those will catch fish... i use some very close to those.

I like taking only one of those small tins (Altoids) with a dozen or so tied jigs or flies when i wade in the river now... 90% of the time, no plastics at all any more. Used to wear a fanny pack that was stuffed full! Think the limited selection forces you to fish more than worry about switching lures. Now on a day long trip - i would still lug out my backpack! :D

Best of luck on your trip!
