You must have some big smallies to eat that fluffy. Black works for me too cept my 1/16 #6 mink fur jig is only 1" long. Locals that fish ties here seem to prefer Slim Jim style marabou patterns on 1/8 or 1/4 ball heads. Mostly smaller fish here 12-16" is considered decent fun size.
