1/80 with possum

I think the possum is softer than the kip tail. And the trapper just picked me up another fresh one! Not much on the 1/80 jig but the gills might have something else to say this spring.

If you get a possum do not have the trapper board them.....just flesh. I washed my last one in dawn about three times by hand to get the smell and junk out then dried on a laundry rack outside (need to do in cool temps around 30's so hair will not slip). Then coated in borax for a couple days.....and a lot of material.

Nice one's, probably catch some crappie on those as well. I like the thinner one the best. Been working on hair jigs myself the last few weeks since they fish well in cold water. Getting chilly here and supposed to be near 0 by Wednesday for the low and windy. Already day dreaming of spring.
