I've done some bf, but I'm having a terrible time tryin' now. Pamering marabou. Have a bunch of 1/8 jigs with small hooks I'm tryna tackle and think they'd look best that way, but nothing's working right today and my brain is at 1/3rd speed.
Thx for any suggestions or tips.

I do remember SaltyBuckster working with the pattern and maybe having some input. Would have to do a search to find the info he added......

There is a tutorial posted a while back from JoJoPro that was the first i had seen the technique.

Link to the actual thread that was posted: Super Simple Mini-Bou Jig

Tutorial on the index site: Mini Marabou Jig

Hope this helps! :jig:

If you twist it up to tight you can use a velcro tool smooth side to get the fibers to fluff out

This is more like palmering bou up the shank while pulling back the individual barbules. Mostly used with just a thread neck. You get a much bushier and full appearance.
I think it was ol Salty that was foolin with em at one time.

The BF is what threw me off....could not figure what it was, however with your response I was able to determine it is "before" and when I read original post again it makes sense. I am not up on all the abbreviations. At first I thought "bass fishing".

That jig-in-hand photo is one of magazine quality if I've ever seen it... Can't beat the results either. ;) :icon14: :icon14:

Like the marabou-bodied jig too. :jig:
