Been tying a few big bucktails on 1/4 lead free heads. Actually caught an Erie perch on a one of these in gaudy yellow and green. Then ended up loosing it in the river. Couple have an extra kick of rabbit zonker and all have their share of flash. Really like how the wing-n-flash material looks, but takes some getting used to with technique. Anyway.......

This one is fully leaded. Only have a couple of these that SaltyBuckster poured for me once upon a time.....

Took this pic outside trying to get some of the wing-n-flash material underneath to show. Can see it a little better, but nothing like in hand.

Last is just a few odd paint jobs. Happy (almost) Friday!

Nice ties. Collars look excellent. What will you use these to catch? Pop

...slow to reply, just got back from a camping trip............

Thanks everyone! Glad you like them.

hookup - do fish black/purple jig'n'pigs pretty often for largies in the local lakes, need too try the combo in my rivers.

Pop - theyare slightly eye forward on the hook eye so mainly casting in mind. 1/4 mold size but slightly lighter weight leadfree (minus one of the lead barbs) with 1/0 Gami hooks..... anything that bites SHOULD get hooked on the super sharp hooks. Tied mostly with casting for walleye in mind, but they do work on largemouth and smallmouth as well. I had one tied on during a recent trip at lake Erie with a large minnow hooked through the nose and caught a decent yellow perch on one. No walleye for me that trip.

Bucho - The orange color on the 4th one down i bet you would love to see in your hand. It is a mica pearl copper mixed with clear powder so it really lets the shiny metal show through but has a metallic finish all by itself.

There are folks around here that fish a lot of colours, and others that catch a lot of seatrout. The latter fish mainly one colour...

I´d shred cent coins if that would get me a decent copper! Will go into details with that mica pigments and where to buy them, which reminds me of my inline-plug-resin-casting project, thanks for the info! :icon14:

Thanks Jig Man and StumpHunter.

Bucho - I received the raw mica powder in a swap with another member. Then I add that to either clear or transparent powder paint. Thinking it was RonDon who had it.... maybe he can give some better information as to where it came from. He also had a Kiwi mica and Blue Pearl mica as well. I did take some better pics of the Copper Pearl and will try to post them in a new thread later.
