I have painted a few of the worm nose heads given to me a little while back and finally sat down with a few last night to tie. Played with some bright colors, crappie on my mind. Still need to do some natural colors. They are the lighter weight W-N heads that are supposed to have the screw lock..... but i asked to have the screw lock left out when they were poured.

They have the bare shank all the way up to the flat back of the head. Makes the chenille (medium sized) pretty streamlined with the head. Also makes it easy to wrap right up to the head and bury the thread in the chenille. One other benefit is that it really leaves the hook gap open since the chenille is a little farther up the shank away from the hook point.

Very nice-looking ties AF.

I really like your combinations of materials, especially regarding the tails.
