Awful buggy looking.... which i would consider a successful tie. #14 is tiny, world of a difference from those bucktail 'eye jigs!

Aint that true! I have been tying bucktails everyday for the past month to get ready for walleye season sales. I can put a lot of pressure on a size A wrap. Using 8/0 for this dry fly I was snapping the thread just locking it onto the shank :)

My days of doing that are over . Looks perfectly good to me . Size 14 hook huh . Last time I tried those dinky hooks I made three stabs at just getting it in the vise jaws . $4!+ no not me bro .
