Warmer weather is slowly settling in! May have to sneak out tonight for a few minutes at dusk to try some new creations.

Last night, spent a little while at the vise with bass on my mind. All these are on 1/4 tin heads w/ 1/0 Gami hooks. Some of the pics are from my bench last night and others i tried to take today in the sunlight... then picked the ones that show colors the best.

Yes, zonker tails. 1st one pictured has only a single zonker surrounded by bucktail and no flash in the tail. The other hair tails all have wing-n-flash or baitfish emulator tied on the shank first, then a separate zonker on each side of the shank. The black n' blue hair jig also has a pinch of blue craft fur on the bottom side... kind of hard to see in the pic.

Very nice. I really like the way you've tied in the silicone at the collars. Chenille is tied off neatly at the base of the jig head.

First rate.

Guess I'm going to have to tie and try some of those . Looks darn good . Might get a striper to hit one.

Thanks for all the positive comments........ lost 2 of them this afternoon in and hour & half of fishing and no fish on them today. Was a school of small 8" largemouth cruising the shore and found out they were happy to hit small crappie jigs. Maybe next time the big girls will show their face. :)

That is a 2 dipper and 1 tap.......

-First thin coat dip into a clear/mica mix.
-Second thin dip into a copper candy color.
-Tap on top with black glitter & clear mix.

Have to keep the heat low so it does not take on too much powder with each dip. Especially with the candy copper. The tin heads leave the whole head very metallic looking.

2nd one down what is that head color ??

Got out with my boy today. Started fishing for gills and crappie and last few minutes threw on the purple/black jig just to see if anything was willing to bite. Nailed 3 bass on consecutive casts and one was a really nice one. Left them biting. :)

Proof is in the pudding... purple/black - black raspberry pudding in this case. :icon14:

Thanks again! :) Buck tail or rabbit with a silicone leg skirt is my favorite way to catch bass. Depending on the weight and configuration of the jighead, there are lots of ways to fish these style of baits.

Always hard to beat black/blue and black/purple in my waters so i do use those colors a lot!
