Here's my first "creations..." tell me what you think?? they are all 1/32 except for the (blue over white) 'streamer' style fly jig that's a 1/64 i think i want to try it for trout. But how bout the others for panfish?? I have one question though...I can't get my wings right...they look bad...ideas on how to make them look/present themselves to be better?? thanks

They look really good. A heck of a lot better than my first ones.
I've had the same issues with the wings. That was when I moved to the hackle on the neck. I have found if before you spin a hackle feather on the neck take a very small amount of deer hair, feather, or marabou different color and tie it in at the head and then spin the hackle. It gives it a different look, esp in the water. I typically do mine on the bottom, but for wings on the sides works.

On my beginning ties I would trim the hair/feather to length after it was tied, and at times I still do, but, it is rare that I trim one where it has a straight cut. I usually trim before tying then let the flash hang long trimming it afterwards. To each their own, I just like a more natural look and the straight cut to me takes that away.
All aside they look great, and the fish they will tear those up. ;)

Fins on bottom or down the top wings on sides . General rule of thumb from a human perspective . The fish ,well , they are going to tear h377 out of them dudes .

For First tyes, those look great. Although I am not a fan of trimming to length, sometimes, one does what one must. My only other comment is less is more when it comes to tails. Its hard to believe that 20 or so hackles will make a great tail, but I think is action is better and looks more natural under water.
