While visiting Sonny in California earlier this month I poured some of these and tied some Boolie style and caught crappie, redear, gills and bass with them. Left the tied one's there but brought home some of the heads to play with. The heads weigh about 1/20th oz. This one was tied on a #6 sickle with chrome and June bug powder paint and glow red component systems paint markers. Details on this skull head is incredible. For the tie I used small nickel prop,3/32 bead,Chinese red floss, natural white sculpin wool,uv crystal flash and gadwall flank feathers. Deadly - looks like you're using some of the floss you got from Mariotts too. See what you mean about the eyes.

That is a GREAT looking jig but I think it'd SCARE our East Texas crappie! You know, being so close to New Orleans & the Vodo culture! :D

Didn't know Sonny poured em w/o the swivel. Really cool looking. They make for great paint work too. The few I had, when painted had a cross on the forehead. Lost one Of the last I had last year to a humongous Opelousas Cat right at the boat.

Not about to get into boolie work but I'm glad yallve found a new weapon!

Only made four of these because I only had four left when I thought of this color combination. LP, I poured these while I was out there. Could paint a cross on some of the other color heads. Definitely my favorite mold that isn't mine. PINK/BLACK/WHITE and FL.GREEN/BLACK/WHITE were hot in SO.CAL.

The other 5 were different molds (football, couple of chubs, and some pinned molds like the horsehead & shad 9 molds). Sorry for the confusion DC. Use them too much to part with them.

Sonny I think this can get addictive! I find myself looking for molds that I do not even need. After seeing all the molds you have I know I will never catch up. I enjoy these posts so all of you keep them coming.

Bill - got a bunch of custom molds, unknown makers, from years of collecting. Hope to get them posted one of these days.

DC - you might shop around for a local machinist that might help you out. Careful - we had some molds made that cost $600 each. Some of the molds that I had pinned were ~$50.
