Decided to try to tie up some buggy looking jigs before bed tonight just to get the ideas out of my head. I like what i came up with but they can certainly be cleaner looking. Tired Eyes Can Lead To Ugly Ties!
This one is the same pattern I've been catching gills on but on a jig head. I tried adding a collar with deer hair. I don't think I like the collar.

This one I like but it needs some improvement. I suck at hackle collars I've come to find out. :dodgy: Might be better with a set of wings and no collar. With a pair of nippers I cut a little lead off the head to make a little wedge for painting the buggy eyes. Started out making this one just like the first pic with the tan/black chenille then I tied in a piece of brown chenille and then tied in some peacock herl on top and wrapped it all the way back and left some for tail piece.
