Some bunny gunners and my box of tailgunners. Going out tommorrow, should be ready.Last picture is of some rubber butts with a new favorite material of mine. The collar was tied with PEARL GRAY PALMER CHENILLE. Earlier this evening I ordered one of every color from CAT,13 colors. I've used it in tails, palmer wrapped some bodies and used it on collars around the head. Just 2-3 wraps and tie off.

Wow, you've been busy! Really like the looks of those copper colored blades... are you painting them your self or ordering them from somewhere? Are they colored on both side? The chenille collars look sweet to, going on my wish list.

Good luck tomorrow - spose to be dang hot here again, up in the 90's! It is fall now... those temps can cool off a bit at any time.

You sir are an artist! Very creative use of the palmer chenille. How will you ever decide which one to tie on a line first? Take a camera along today... got a feeling you'll have plenty of fish to show us later. Awesome!

I should have taken the camera this morning but with it being hot the last few days I figured the shallow bite would be gone. I started fishing deep water but by 8AM only caught about 15 dinks, some really small, maybe 4 inches long.Probably from this spring's spawn. Decided to try the shallows. They were shallow and I caught 60-70 easy in three hours. Most were 7-8 inches but a dozen or so were over 10 inches and two were around 13. I need to forget about the deep water and just start shallow. All fish were released. I was the only one fishing the shallows. A regular flash duck did the best but I fished it longer than the tailgunners. Once I started throwing them it was about even. It seems like the average size is a little bigger with the blades. It was windy, gusting up to 20 mph or so.The best retrieve was a straight cast and reel today. Wind was blowing straight at me and the wave action was all the action I needed. It's supposed to rain tonight and get cooler so hopefully they'll stay shallow. Only lost three baits today, better than usual.
