First you smash a ballhead into a pillhead then slap some paint and dollar store craft eyes on it. Then you close your eyes and grab some material from scrap pile, tie it on the hook shaft and BAM you have a Googily Eyed Whatchamacallit.

Interesting mix of colors. Want to get me some 'googly' eyes, always thought they would give some extra rattle attraction.

Scrap heap creations can bite you in the butt though. My scenario usually goes like this....... only make 1 using odd ball material, it catches fish like crazy, loose it to the rock monster, then never know how to re-create it.

Andy - when I did mine I used Duco cement to attach them, don't know how durable or how long it will last until I get to fish them this spring.

What did you use for yours??

I stuck them on with a drop of superglue then dipped the whole head in jig finish. Its a one part epoxy coating made by cs coatings. It should keep them on plus the hard coating will keep the cheap plastic bubble eyes from getting messed up.

This sounds stupid, but I flashbacked to when I was a kid in grade school and this saying was popular:

"No get wise, bubble eyes"

Hawn!!!!!LOL

Andy - I used the duco because it's what I had on hand. I've read some stuff on the CS one part over at TU and people were having problems with it on white and yellow chartreuse. If you've used it on them let me know if you notice anything

I was going to use CS's two part epoxy mix as I have it over the top of them but wasn't sure if it would melt the eyes or not!!

Andy - couldn't find the one I was looking for but Small Jaw answered with what I was talking about in your paintshop thread
Andy

SJ's post about clear coat "The problem I've had with it is yellowing and dulling, it isn't too noticable on a pearl colored jig but white you really see the yellowing and most other colors that are gloss you will see how it dulls"

You will be surprised at what will work, the fish can pick some oddball jigs that they really like at times. I think the jig looks cool :)
