I got a new mold last week,a 1/16 Phatboy/spinner mold that will take size 2-4 hooks. These are #2's and the tails are bunnys.I was at CABELA'S last week stocking up on thread when I noticed they had bunny fur scraps for $3.99 a bag.One bag had 10 pieces and 5 were multi colored. I cut some strips and this is what I came up with, pretty simple tie,but I like it.Maybe add some flash in the tail the next time. The light gray I dyed myself. The green/yellow bunny is really nice,I'd like to find more.Anyone know where I can get a skin in that is color? It would make a killer bullfrog.

Jim, I absolutely love the rabbit grab bags at Cabelas! I believe Feather Craft has a good variety of the Hareline rabbit strips... if it wasn't them, it's J. Stockard. I haven't ever seen the two-tone zonked full skins though. That might be tough!

The mold was made for me by CAT. What is really cool is that it is cut so well that I can pour without the cranes and there will be only a small sprue to trim off,two different baits for one price. The postioning of the swivel right under the chin enables the blade to spin just under the body which I think will result in more fish hooked. These should give some smallies sore mouths and crappie will eat these as well. I havn't seen the two tone green/yellow at Feathercraft,I live close and pay them a monthly visit. Maybe CAT can help me find that color. A lot of fish eat frogs.

Excellent jigs! i'll take the 2 on the right.

I have yet to decide where i like to add in the flash on the z-strip tails. i make some with it under, some over and some down the sides. the strips flow so much different in the water than many materials...

These heads are custom pillheads with a #4 sickle. THE heads weigh 1/24 oz.,eyes 4mm. What is new for me anyway is the Palmer chenille that I used to wrap over the chenille body. I bought a pack from CAT to try and really like the way it turned out. I'll be buying several more colors for sure. This color is Pearl Gray.

I have seen that fancy chenille only a few times now, can say i do really like the look. When you made them, i take it you just palmered it same way you would do hackle? Did you palmer over regular chenille or different base?

I palmer wrapped it over chenille. I also liked the tailspinner so much that I tied some up using the palmer chenille. I think you are on to something there. I'm going to post a few pics on your thread, not trying to hijack your thread, think it's a great idea.I'm gonna try them tommorrow.
