bucktails, boolie, and a deciever

A buddy of mine is planning a walleye trip in the northeast and asked if I could make him a few black/purple bucktails. I tied a few for my buddy and a few for myself in 1/16 & 1/8 (lead free) and leaded 1/4 ouncers with nail polish paint jobs. I added some stick on eyes to seal the deal.

I sealed half of the heads with devcon 2T epoxy and the other half with loon outdoors UV resin. I'll report back with a durability comparison after some field testing.

Here is my first prop jig, simple flash and bunny trailer. I think this will work nicely.

I tied a bunch of these up to target schooling wipers/white bass. Simple deceiver style with saddle hackle, craft fur, and peacock herl. I "homemade" the eyes with a sheet of duck brand prism tape and a hole punch. This guy is also sealed with UV resin.

Really nice ties,I like them all. I'm a believer that the UV makes a difference as well.You hid the hook well on the last one,can't even see it. What size hook was used on it ?

Those should catch some fish! The deceiver one on the end i bet looks amazing in the water.

That is a 1/0 2x strong mustad with 1/4 oz lead free head (hawn jigs).

Super nice!!!!! I really like them all but the it is a toss up between the bucktails and deciever which I like more. I use Devcon 2 Ton epoxy and it is super durable but I'm curious to the loon uv clear coat.
JJ1, I don't think is is using UV on any material, the UV resin isn't UV reflecting light it is a resin that is cured by shinning a UV light on it to make it cure.
