Here is my first fly using the Fish Skull head. It is tied on a size 8 X2 long hook. I used caribou hair for the tail with turkey on the tail to give it a lateral line. Use three brown saddle hackles for a thick collar. Used the small copper Fish Skull and brown thread to cap the fly off. I think it will give a good profile coming through the water maybe fished under an indicator.

Very nice-looking tie SH. I like its profile and your mix of turkey and caribou for the tail.

You've inspired me to break out and dust off my old Sage later this weekend. Maybe I'll clean a fly line or two. ;)

WOW!!!! That copper fish skull works really well with the colors you used in the fly! It has the same basic brown hue but enough contrast to make it standout and the overall profile should be a killer!!! Excellent work!!!

Thanks all for the great comments. Working with adding a head after you finish the fly takes a little getting use to but they sure look good after they are finished. I plan to tie some like JJ tied because his flies are killers!!
Jim I am impressed with how fast Cabela's has shipped out my last two orders I made with them.

Pup I hope you keep the fly rod out and ready for use. I used some beadhead nymphs last week and caught a few bream and one crappie. Lot of fun to feel that pull on the 5wt but I hope to go back next week with the bamboo 3wt and give em a try.
