#12 wasp

This fly was though of from a fly that represents a caddis pupae but I changed the colors to make it look more like a wasp or yellow jacket.

#12 scud/pupae hook
Eyes- made from 30# fishing line
lead under body for weight and shape
body- pale yellow yarn and brown scud back
thorax- SLF brown dubbing
wings- partridge feathers
horns- mallard flank

I hate wasps and that looks like one of thos rotten critters!!! That is really close to the real thing and if you would have used some black along the back it would just like the paper wasp that fly around my house in the summer, what a great tie Stump, you truly have a talent!!!

Excellent tie!!! Really like the mono eyes. Makes it look like an evil wasp.

That's awesome Ronnie. I'm glad we don't have trout in MS cause I'd never get that good at tying flies.
