These are 1/16 chub heads with a #4 red or black nickle sickle hook, heads have three colors of powder paint and have 4mm krystal AB eyes. I do the underbody with Polar flash, mallard flank over that with just enough mallard so the flash barely shines through and finish off with a hackle throat. Float-n-fly,flash ducks, you can call them what you want but they sure catch fish. I think the glass eyes make them even better with the way they reflect light. Great ties!!! I love these JJ1 and thank you for giving me another idea, and that is the hackle throat, what an awesome float-n-fly!! I now need to get some mallard flank and learn to tie one of those, and I'd be happy to get one that look half as good. Really nice work!!!

Nice-looking duck feather jigs.

This reminds me to gather and prepare my gear for float-n-fly fishing this winter.
