Got to pour some jigs in the new shad-dart mold today so thought I would use some of the custom mixed powder paint (olive) and some of the bunny and squirrel I dyed yesterday. Also my first attempt at the prop jigs, I'm going to like the prop jigs..
Used 1/16 and one 1/32 shad-darts and mixed in a little olive duck and bunny.

Those colors did turn out really good - like the splashed on color of the paintjob as well. Have to let us know how the Boolie Darts work for you.

I use pony jigs a lot so I'm very interested to see how the fish act to the Boolie Darts. Have only fished with shad dart jigs a few times and most of them have been 1/8 oz. Had some 1/16 that Heath had sent me, tied em and they were ready to try but my hairly fishing bubby (Rosco) thought the bag of jigs needed to be in the water before they were tied onto the rods!!
Had good catches with the shad darts. Don't know what the action looks like as I was using them in stained water. Maybe next week I'll get to try the jigs.
With the blade and the cone bead on the shank it doesn't give you much room to work with tying in the tail so I need to work on getting the thread more even behind the cone bead.
Here is a couple crappie I caught off the shad-darts in 8' depths two weeks ago. Who would have thought to look for them in the shallows.
The catfish will hit the SD jigs also. Didn't know my fishing buddy was getting him a kiss from the fish until I loaded the pic :)
