I got some more wabbit and hooks in the mail so I had to try them out. 60 DEGREE BEND Mustad 2/0 with the 1/8 pillhead and Mustad 1/0 32746 needlepoint with the walleye head tailspins. I like both of these hooks but the 60 is huge, actually put another 2/0 inside of it,maybe a mismark on package. I put eyes on the blades so the can see what's about to eat them.View attachment 6View attachment 7View attachment 8View attachment 9

Geez, probing the outer limits of colors & materials combos. Do share if any of them turn out to be magic.

The pink tail pill head eye looks like Sauron.

Hawn, those are 6mm eyes that I picked up from Bog's baits. bombora, the one you are referring to was a first for me. Had a small piece of crosscut bunny sitting on the desk and wanted to see how it would look as a collar. Only did the one but I'll be making more for sure. It's from a strip that I doctored up with permanent neon markers. Sonny,I'm really getting into the painted blades, mixed up two more colors this morning that really look great mixing the neon glitters from Hobby Lobby.

All look excellent - the last ones (white/green/silver) stand out. Have bait written all over them.

Is the back end just extra hide after the previous has been palmered or is that the rabbit? So confused!?!
The tailspins look deadly!
I'm guessing the 60 deg is better for the cast n retrieve approach?
Great stuff.

LP, the back end is a piece of bunny zonker strip that's tied in first after which I palmer wrap the crosscut bunny. I think the 60 would be better for the cast n retrieve than a regular 90. It's something I'm experimenting with.

Jim.

How are the spinner blades attached to the hooks on your great ties?

God Bless,
Don

I tie the crane or roller swivel in at the bend first then finish the tie. Add split ring and blade to the swivel last. There's a tutorial on jigcraft on how I tie in the swivel.
