Nicely Done Salty: Hope that you catch more than a coupe of limits with them. I know that I would boat a limit of slabs with that electric chicken pattern and the squirrel tail would take a few also. Good luck hope you ware'um down Or as they say around here hope you ware off your arm.

Salty : AS I lived in the Midwest for most of my life and Pa and Iowa are on about the same parallel. And I caught a lot of Yellow perch that took on a lot of crayfish. I remember that they(crayfish) would change colors in the fall. To a darker green and brown with orange. Don't know if they do that there but might try a pattern with some of those color combos. Another bait that the yellow and white perch would go after is the bluegill fry. We called them Flats and there were days that's all they wanted. Think that I have posted a picture of the Flat pattern that we came up with if not I can re do. Good luck at any rate. And don't get discourage because the weather report that says snow that can be some of the best fishing that there is.
