Heath you may enjoy this old truck. I bought it in a box in 04. It's a 48 Willys. Only had the cab, doors and front. I built the bed and back fenders by looking at pictures of other trucks. I use the running gear from a 86 Ranger. Got the work down to replacing the glass and reworking and painting the door window-tracks and molding that goes around the front window. I do have the "Chrome mirrors" installed now.LOL
Nice Work Ronnie.cool truck! so far i have restored a '56 chevy for myself, and a '67 c10 swb for my son... still have a 69 k10 swb and a 72 swb c10 in the back awaiting the cutting, welding, rebuild...
I should say Rodstored, as they are no where near stock... lol
Stumphunters what the decal on the back? the O and W? A ranch brand? It reminds me of an old railroad line logo that used to go through upstate NY. The New York, Ontario, and Western Railroad.
Thanks. You can fins everything you want for the Chevy trucks. At times I wish I had gone with a 50's model Chevy. This truck I changed the inside to make it more drivable. You have to put in many, many, many hours into a rebuild. I hate those TV shows that rebuilds in an 1/2 hour!!!
Dang Heath, that looks great! I'm talking about the jigs. I'll have to get some of that. I wish I could get it to stick to a crankbait without melting it.
JJ, the W over the O stands for Willys-Overland company.
I found an old tailgate and was able to save and cut out that part and welded it into my tailgate I built. You can't buy a tail gate with the WO stamped in it you can only get the decals so I thought it was worth the time to have it on the truck. The front hood also has the WO symbol but it is chrome! http://www.pixeldecals.com/shop/Willys-Overland-Decal
