I splurged a bit and bought a pack of Owner 1/0's and used the shaky head mold to pour some 1/16 and 1/8 oz.,painted a few with the illusion paints and broke out the crosscut bunny strips, canadian pine squirrel strips and saddle hackle and tied up a few. Last year I had a big smallie that I thought was a carp at first suck in a jig similar to these and blow it out so fast I didn't have time to even blink. These are really sharp, hopefully on the way out next time this hook will stick somewhwere that matters.

Price on the Owner 1/0 wasn't to bad. $19.99 + TAX for 78 ct. pack. The shank on the Owner's are a tad bit longer than Matzuo's or Mustad 32746's. Going to try some #1's next.

Wow. Amazing work.
Never fished for "smallies". That's just a smallmouth bass, right?
Whatever it is, if I was them I'd take a bite of those jigs.

Those Owners are more than double the price of Ultra Points - are they worth it? I've got some older more silvery finished Ultras that bite fingers real quick - are the newer blacker ones not as sharp?
