I saw Charlie Case invent the Jacks worm at a fishing rodeo. He took one of his stick baits, heated it in the middle with a bic lighters, then pulled slowly. The tapered tail had so much action in the water it became an instant hit

Personally I think they do better pulling thru brush and grass. Not sure why though. I tie a lot of them its a big request at the shows I do.

I like em and I think the fish will too. My river nearby is just now slowing down and letting the Crappie move to more predictable places. Those would fall slow which is always a hit around here.

Nice ties CrappieHappy! The blue one is a nice shad imitation. I'll bet the crappie like both. I really like the chartreuse colored one. What is the hair you used on it? Also, do you buy or pour your own hatchet heads? If you do pour your own, where did you get the mold from?
