Nice looking head . I use forceps to flatten the barb. I’ve had some heads that the collar didn’t pour and I have tied them . They are more challenging but with practice I like how they turn out better.
Jay Wirth has some good videos on tying collarless jigs that has helped me a great deal. Thread pressure tying downward needs to be tighter than coming back up.
