Seems like these are all i've been tying. Kind of funny, but have really whittled my selection that i carry down to a few favorite styles specific to the different species. Stocking these doll fly types up for the fall shoreline walleye. Once this wind stops blowing, going to give them a shot. Variety of sizes shown, from all the way down to 1/16 up to 3/16. Really filled the under body with wool on the bigger sizes to get a fuller profile to match the shad and baby bluegill that are the forage base.

Tied these (another staple, this one for bass) tonight while watching football. They will be headed out west once i get a few more tied. Hope they work as well out there as they do here.

Oh...... this is something new though. Nice big shiny truck. :D

I really like the look of those "Woolies". I need to spend more time with that style at my vise. Like the color combinations a lot. Oh, those shiny "new" Trucks are always nice to look at!

Nice:icon14:
I am a Ford user too, although mine is a little Ford KA . Probably a bit small for those 'wide open spaces' over there. :D

AF, Nice job on the Jigs. Like the color combos and hope they work for you. Our Fall bite has started and is a new experience as the baitfish population is unbelievable (due in a big part to a massive WB die-off/kill early this summer) and most of what has worked in the past is marginal at best. But brighter seems to be better this year and the top producer seems to be "Clown" Chartruese/Chrome which leads me to think you may want to add some really bright silver heads.

The truck is great and hope it gives you many years of service.

Thanks for the comments all.

The tails on the first set of jigs are all the long fiber craft hair/fur. Tie in the flash pieces (leave them long) first, then use 2 pinches of wool batting (purchased from the mom & pop craft store here in downtown, package is listed as doll hair) and fold them back. Turns out as just a small 'puff' of the wool and i don't make it any longer than the hookbend. Just want it to push the craft hair/fur out for the fat body. I also leave it just a fuzz back from the jig head so there is room to tie in the tail material and tie-off neck.

rich mc - This is our 2nd Basset Hound. She is affectionate as heck to people, once she gets to know them. But she is also a little crazy too. Does NOT like it when people either come straight up and talk to her or if they act any bit scared of her. She has quite the voice. If someone backs up when she howls, she comes forward and does it again. On the other hand, if they completely ignore her she will be sitting on their feet trying to get them to pet her. Like i said..... crazy dog. Have thought about getting a Blood Hound as a companion for her.

Kdog - The minnow heads have just a mica powder belly and the heads that look pearl are actually all mica. With the mix i use, it has both the glitter look to it but also lets some of the shine of the metal through as well. Have a few tin heads (none shown here) that would make good clowns with a light coat of mica or even a just plain old clear.

Also have to say, at first i had my questions about weather or not we 'needed' a truck this big. Turns out, think i like it just about as much (if not more) than my wife. Picked up a used bed toolbox for cheap and installed that last weekend. It sure pulls the camper nice compared to how our old Explorer did.

Beautiful ties, beautiful dog and definitely a beautiful truck.

I especially like the look of those bass jigs. I still havent gotten down how to stand the sili-legs up straight. They always seem to fall down flat on me.

Looking great Russ! I have been doing the same and trying to cut down the jigs that I carry with me. It really isn't to hard to do either.
Love the truck camper setup. :)
