Skip shared this how to with me. The first time I attempted it, I didn't have any wool yarn, so after getting some, I finally sat down tonight and tried my hand at Crappie Candy. You're right, although it appears similar to a Clouser, it really is quite a bit different. I hope I did it halfway justice.

Didn't ty today, but did powder paint 100 SWM jigs. Does that count?

Absolutely!

Finally got them done. Took me a while - after painting, clean the eyes, then bake, then add the hitch hiker plastic holders.

There will be used for various sized swimbaits.

These are Mustad 91768 in 1/0 & 3/0 - also pour them w/ 2/0

Pour 1/8, 3/16, & 1/4 - modified a DoIt SWM mold's 3/8 slot to 3/16 w/ JB Weld & a dremel.

I have also poured with Owner 5132 hooks, but they are expensive!

I need to try some of those for specks Hookup. All of mine are center balanced. HMK, those clouser like ties would do very well at our barrier islands.

Thanx

Bare - they work great in the rocky ledgy mid atlantic rivers I fish because it's very hard to snag them. I can usually fish one all day unless I'm running a rapid & cast & get a snag or impale one in submerged wood. The weight up by the eye of the hook imho helps minimize snaging.
