Some of the other forums have a thread about fly of the week, so I thought why not a fly of the day. This is the only one I tyed tonight. I was at the bench quite awhile cutting foam disks and gluing up a popper. I always try to end work with a fly when possible, makes me feel good to finish something before I quit for the day. So what is everyone tying today?

Got kids to bed, did work for church (I'm the worship leader), then painted 4.5 dz jig heads for a couple orders..... They're about done curing now.

Well, I work two jobs. Pulled a double today (three doubles each week). I'll do some tying tomorrow, but no flies, just jigs.

I went fishing yesterday, targeting Trout on the fly. Didn't catch one! Realized I need to tie up some versions of most of my bead head flies with tungsten beads instead of brass.

This is my first popper. I started with a hard foam popper and painted it. The first time I painted it, I'm not sure why, but the waterproof markers would not dry, even after about 20 hours. I came home from work and thought a few minutes. I wiped it down and used fingernail polish. The polish doesn't look as good as the markers, so I will try again and see what may have happened.

Stabgnid, that one Electric Chicken jig is going to be killer! You might want to go back and paint/tie yourself a couple dozen :)

Didn't ty today, but did powder paint 100 SWM jigs. Does that count?
